Bug Bounties

ARK's Bug Bounty Program

As of 31st May 2022, WildCard has distributed bounties totaling $65,780.

WildCard rewards those bringing attention to severe hacks or exploits impacting gameplay or server stability on official servers—excluding typical issues like aimbots, ESP, or speed hacks.

Share your discoveries at [email protected]. Recognized critical issues, even outside of "hacks", may still qualify for bounties.

Please specify "Exploit Report" in your email subject. While not every email will get feedback, each report is scrutinized. WildCard's priority lies with official online multiplayer server concerns.

Mesh Exploits

In ARK, 'Meshing' is a notorious exploit where players can slip outside the designated play area or even beneath the map. This gives them an unfair advantage, allowing them to hide, ambush, or evade threats in ways not intended by the game's design.

Duplication Exploits

In ARK, 'Duping' enables players to clone items or resources. This act can provide substantial advantages by giving access to unlimited valuable resources or powerful equipment, bypassing the game's intended balance and progression.

Crash Exploits

In ARK, there's an issue known as 'Crashes/Rollbacks'. These incidents force the server to shut down unexpectedly, and upon restart, gameplay reverts to the last saved state. This can undo player progress, erase recent events, and disrupt the continuity of the game, often causing frustration among survivors.

Glide without GliderMisc Exploit

This exploit was utilized by equipping a Glider onto a 'Taxidermy Base'. This caused it to be falsely equipped on your player without using the item, so you would not have the disadvantages like the weight or durability.

Requirements: Taxidermy Base, Glider

Intended: No

Status: Patched

Grapping Hook GlitchMisc Exploit

This glitch is currently part of the game and not planned to be patched. It is a method to boost the grappling hook speed and is used for raiding all kind of bases.

Requirements: Crossbow, Grappling Hook

Intended: Yes

Status: Working

Survive The ARK GodmodeGodmode Exploit

This exploit allowed players to have unlimited health inside the "Survive The ARK" mission on Genesis 2. This mission had a bug that would not cancel the mission even if you had zero health left. This was achieved by eating organic polymer to set your health to 0, while at the same time you are possessing a Noglin. This would set your health to 0 while still being "alive". Exploiters used this exploit to finish the mission, and some meshed out of the arena and used it to raid bases.

Requirements: Noglin, Enemy/Wild Dino, Mission Terminal

Intended: No

Status: Patched

Andrewsarchus Godmode • All Maps • Godmode Exploit

This exploit allowed players to be invisible to turrets. When riding an Andrewsarchus, the saddle has no hitbox; for this reason, the player gets a buff that makes the player invisible to turrets. But it also applied another buff that made it "impossible" to dismount a player when being shot with a net gun. The exploiters now managed to unmount while being netted; this caused the server to think that you were still mounted on the Andrewsarchus, making the player invisible to turrets. The video that got sent to us is recorded after the first patch, which forced the player to dismount when moving far away from the Andrewsarchus, so the player kept dragging it around as a bypass.

Requirements: Andrewsarchus, 2 Players, Noglin

Intended: No

Status: Patched

Ghost ModeMeshing Exploit

This ghost mode exploit was caused by the snow owl freeze, which would not dismount the player even if he fell off because he was knocked out. Glitching the hitbox of the character. Combined with a tek gauntlets flying exploit, it was usable like the admin ghost mode.

Requirements: Snow Owl, Grappling Hook, Tek Gauntlets, Other Gauntlets, Parachute, 2 Players

Intended: No

Status: Patched
